In 1948, a significant event occurred in Palestine known as the Nakba, meaning "catastrophe" in Arabic. This marked the expulsion and displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes during the Arab-Israeli War, following the declaration of the State of Israel. It resulted in the creation of a large refugee population and laid the foundation for ongoing occupation in the region. the hoodie tries to showcase in a small portion of what Palestinians are fighting for.
